Open WhatsApp
Go to Settings
Tap Account
Tap Delete my account
Enter your phone number
Tap Delete my account to deactivate the account
If you only want to stop notifications, go to your phone’s Settings
Find WhatsApp in the app list
Turn off notifications
To stop using WhatsApp temporarily without deleting your account, uninstall the app
Reinstall WhatsApp later and verify your number to use it again
