Use a proper throwing axe designed for axe throwing
Stand behind the throwing line
Grip the axe firmly by the handle near the end
Face the target with your dominant shoulder slightly back
Keep your feet shoulder-width apart
Raise the axe to a comfortable starting position
Swing the axe straight forward in a controlled motion
Release the axe when your arm is pointing at the target
Follow through with your throwing arm
Keep your body still after release
Aim for the center of the target
Adjust your distance and release point as needed
Wear appropriate safety gear
Make sure the area is clear before throwing
