Lay the shirt flat
Twist, fold, or crumple the shirt into the desired pattern
Secure the shirt with rubber bands
Put on gloves
Mix the dye according to the package instructions
Apply dye to different sections of the shirt
Flip the shirt and dye the other side if needed
Place the shirt in a plastic bag or wrap it in plastic
Let the dye set for the recommended time
Rinse the shirt with cold water until the water runs clear
Remove the rubber bands
Wash the shirt separately
Dry the shirt as directed
