Check local tint laws and choose a legal tint percentage
Gather materials: window tint film, spray bottle, baby shampoo or tint solution, squeegee, utility knife, microfiber cloth, heat gun, hard card, ruler, and tape
Clean the glass thoroughly inside and outside
Remove dust, grease, stickers, and adhesive residue
Dry the window completely
Cut the tint film slightly larger than the window
Shape the film on the outside of the glass if needed
Peel the liner from the tint film
Spray the adhesive side and the glass with tint solution
Apply the film to the inside of the window
Position the film correctly before it sticks
Squeegee from the center outward to remove air and liquid
Trim excess film along the edges
Use a heat gun to help the film conform to curves
Squeegee again to remove remaining bubbles and moisture
Let the tint cure without rolling windows down
Avoid cleaning the tinted windows until fully cured
Inspect for bubbles, gaps, or lifting edges
Rework any problem areas before the film fully sets
