Back up your old iPhone to iCloud or a computer
Turn on your new iPhone and place it near your old iPhone
Follow the Quick Start setup prompt on the old iPhone
Scan the animation on the new iPhone with the old iPhone
Enter your old iPhone passcode on the new iPhone
Set up Face ID or Touch ID
Choose Transfer from iPhone or Download from iCloud Backup
Keep both iPhones connected to Wi-Fi and power
Sign in with your Apple ID
Wait for apps, data, and settings to transfer
Keep the new iPhone connected until the transfer finishes
Open the App Store if any apps need to be re-downloaded
Check that all apps are present on the new iPhone
