Use Quick Start (iPhone to iPhone)
Turn on the new iPhone and place it near the old iPhone
Keep both devices signed in to Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth
Follow the on-screen prompt to set up the new iPhone
Use the on-screen animation to finish pairing when prompted
Choose to transfer your data when asked
Keep both iPhones near each other until the transfer completes
Use iCloud
On the old iPhone: Settings → [your name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup → Back Up Now
On the new iPhone: sign in with the same Apple ID
During setup, choose Restore from iCloud Backup
Select the most recent backup and complete setup
Keep the new iPhone connected to Wi‑Fi until finished
Use iTunes or Finder (computer)
On the computer: connect the old iPhone and open Finder (macOS Catalina or later) or iTunes (Windows/macOS Mojave or earlier)
Select the iPhone and choose Back Up Now
Connect the new iPhone and choose Restore Backup
Select the backup from the old iPhone and complete setup
Use direct transfer (wireless/Wi‑Fi) during setup
Start setup on the new iPhone
When prompted, choose to transfer data from another iPhone
Follow the on-screen steps to connect and transfer
Wait for completion before using the device normally
After transfer
Confirm both devices are signed in to the same Apple ID
Check that Photos, Apps, Contacts, Messages, and Mail sync correctly
Update iOS if prompted
Keep the new iPhone on Wi‑Fi and charging for best syncing results
