Connect your phone to the laptop with a USB cable

Use Bluetooth to send small files
Pair your phone and laptop over Bluetooth
Select the files on your phone and send them via Bluetooth
Use a wireless transfer app such as AirDroid, Snapdrop, or Nearby Share
Install the same app or enable the same service on both devices
Follow the app instructions to transfer files
Use a memory card if your phone supports one
Remove the card from your phone
Insert it into the laptop using a card reader
Copy the files from the card to your laptop
Back up phone data using phone software such as iTunes, Samsung Smart Switch, or manufacturer tools
Connect the phone and start the backup process on the laptop
