Connect the iPhone to the iMac with a USB cable
Unlock the iPhone
Tap Trust This Computer if prompted
Open Photos on the iMac
Select the iPhone under Devices
Choose the photos to import
Click Import Selected or Import All New Photos
Wait for the transfer to finish
Eject the iPhone safely after importing
Open Image Capture on the iMac if Photos does not show the device
Select the iPhone in Image Capture
Choose the destination folder
Click Import or Import All
Use AirDrop on the iPhone and iMac if you want wireless transfer
Select the photos on the iPhone
Tap Share
Tap AirDrop
Choose the iMac
Accept the transfer on the iMac
Use iCloud Photos if both devices are signed in to the same Apple ID
Turn on iCloud Photos on the iPhone
Turn on iCloud Photos on the iMac
Wait for photos to sync automatically
Use Finder on the iMac to access the iPhone if needed
Open Finder and select the iPhone in the sidebar
Go to the Photos or Files-related transfer options if available
Use third-party apps only if built-in methods do not work
