Connect the iPhone to the Mac with a USB cable
Unlock the iPhone and tap Trust This Computer if prompted
Open the Photos app on the Mac
Select the iPhone under Devices in the Photos sidebar
Choose the photos you want to import
Click Import Selected or Import All New Photos
Wait for the transfer to complete
Eject the iPhone safely after importing
Open Finder on the Mac
Select the iPhone from the Finder sidebar
Click Files if needed to access transferable items
Drag photos from the iPhone to a folder on the Mac
Open Image Capture on the Mac
Select the iPhone from the device list
Choose an import destination
Click Import or Import All
Use AirDrop on the iPhone
Select the photos in the Photos app
Tap Share
Tap AirDrop
Select the Mac
Accept the transfer on the Mac
Use iCloud Photos
Turn on iCloud Photos on the iPhone
Turn on iCloud Photos on the Mac
Open the Photos app on the Mac to sync and download photos
Use iCloud Drive or another cloud service
Upload photos from the iPhone
Download them on the Mac
