Take an oral antihistamine for hives if appropriate

Wear loose, soft clothing
Avoid scratching
Apply fragrance-free moisturizer to dry or irritated skin
Use over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream on mild itchy rashes if appropriate
Keep the skin clean and dry
Rest and avoid heat, sweating, and tight clothing
Seek urgent care if there is trouble breathing, swelling of the lips or tongue, dizziness, or rapid worsening
See a clinician if the rash lasts more than a few days, keeps returning, or is accompanied by fever, pain, or blistering
