How To Turn Off Read Receipt On iPhone?

Open Settings

Tap Messages

Turn off Send Read Receipts

To turn it off for one person, open the conversation in Messages

Tap the contact name or number at the top

Tap Info

Turn off Send Read Receipts if available for that contact
