Press the keyboard lock shortcut on your laptop, such as Fn + F6, Fn + F7, Fn + F8, Fn + F9, Fn + F10, or Fn + Esc
Check whether Num Lock, Fn Lock, or a keyboard disable key is turned on and turn it off
Restart the laptop
Unplug any external keyboard or USB device
Open Device Manager
Expand Keyboards
Right-click the keyboard device
Select Enable device if available
Select Uninstall device, then restart the laptop
Update or reinstall the keyboard driver
Check for Sticky Keys, Filter Keys, or accessibility settings and turn them off
Enter BIOS or UEFI settings and verify the built-in keyboard is enabled
Run Windows Update
Shut down the laptop, remove the battery if possible, and power it back on
Contact the laptop manufacturer if the keyboard still remains locked
