If the Chromebook is enrolled in a school or work domain, only the administrator can remove management
Sign in with the owner or admin account if you have access
Open Chrome and go to `chrome://settings`
Search for reset or powerwash options
Back up any important files first
Perform a Powerwash to factory reset the Chromebook
After reset, do not sign back in with the managed school or work account
If the device is enterprise-enrolled, contact the organization’s IT department to deprovision it
If the device was purchased used, ask the seller to remove it from management in the admin console
If the Chromebook still re-enrolls after reset, it remains managed by the organization
Use the device only after it has been officially released from management by the administrator
