Open the Minecraft Launcher
Sign in to your account
Select the Minecraft version or installation you want to update
Open the version dropdown or installation settings
Choose the latest available release
Click Play to download and install the update
If needed, close and reopen the launcher
On mobile, open the App Store or Google Play Store
Search for Minecraft
Tap Update if available
On consoles, open the game library or store page
Select Minecraft
Choose Update if available
On Windows, open the Microsoft Store
Go to Library
Click Get updates
Update Minecraft if it appears in the list
On Java Edition, check the launcher settings if the latest version is not showing
Make sure your internet connection is active
Restart your device if the update does not start
