Choose a bidet type: handheld, attachment, or standalone
Wash and dry your hands
If using a bidet attachment or standalone, adjust water temperature and pressure to a comfortable level
Sit on the toilet as usual
Lean forward slightly and position yourself so the stream reaches the desired area
Turn on the bidet controls
Start with a low pressure setting
Rinse for a few seconds to a few dozen seconds, as needed
Turn off the bidet
Wipe with toilet paper or use the bidet’s dryer function if available
If using toilet paper, pat dry gently
Flush the toilet
Turn off any bidet controls and close the lid if applicable
Clean the bidet as recommended by the manufacturer
Wash your hands after use
