Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable surface
Plug the machine into a power outlet
Open the water reservoir lid
Add cold water to the desired number of cups
Insert a paper filter into the filter basket or use the permanent filter if included
Add ground coffee to the filter
Close the filter basket and reservoir lid
Place the carafe on the warming plate
Turn the machine on
Wait for the brewing cycle to finish
Pour and serve the coffee
Turn the machine off after brewing
Remove and discard the used filter and grounds
Wash the carafe and filter basket after use
