Gather the rivet gun, rivets, drill, drill bits, safety glasses, and workpiece
Mark the spot where the rivet will go
Drill a hole the same size as the rivet
Insert the rivet through the aligned materials
Place the rivet gun on the rivet stem
Squeeze the handles or trigger to set the rivet
Continue until the rivet snaps and is secured
Remove the broken rivet stem if needed
Repeat for each rivet
Wear safety glasses during use
Check that the materials are tightly fastened
