Open a crafting table or anvil
Place the item you want to enchant in the anvil’s first slot
Place the enchanted book in the anvil’s second slot
Take the enchanted item from the result slot
Use an anvil to apply the book to compatible tools, weapons, armor, or books
Make sure you have enough experience levels
Make sure the enchantment is compatible with the item
On Bedrock Edition, use an anvil the same way
On Creative mode, you can place the book on items through an anvil without level limits in some cases
