Create a DeepSeek account or get a DeepSeek API key
Open Janitor AI and sign in
Go to the settings or API settings section in Janitor AI
Select the option to use a custom API or external model
Choose DeepSeek if it is listed, or select OpenAI-compatible/custom provider if required
Paste your DeepSeek API key into the API key field
Enter the correct DeepSeek base URL or endpoint if Janitor AI asks for it
Select the DeepSeek model you want to use
Save the settings
Return to your chat and start a new conversation
If the connection fails, recheck the API key, base URL, and model name
If needed, enable any required proxy or compatibility settings in Janitor AI
Make sure your DeepSeek account has enough credits or usage quota
Refresh the page or relogin if the model does not appear immediately
