Plug in the Nespresso machine and turn it on
Fill the water tank with fresh water and reattach it securely
Place a cup on the drip tray
Insert the Nespresso capsule into the machine (open the lever/head, insert capsule, close lever/head)
Select the desired drink size (if applicable)
Press the brew button to start extraction
Wait for brewing to finish and stop automatically or press again (if applicable)
Lift the lever/head to eject the used capsule into the capsule container
Empty the drip tray and capsule container when needed
Turn off the machine when finished
Descale the machine as recommended by the manufacturer
