Select the text you want to format
Go to the Home tab
Click the Font dialog box launcher
Check Subscript
Click OK
Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+= on Windows
Use the keyboard shortcut Command+= on Mac
To remove subscript, select the text again and repeat the shortcut or uncheck Subscript
