Get the Poké Flute from Lavender Town by going to the Pokémon Tower and completing the events there
Go to the Snorlax on Route 12 or Route 16
Use the Poké Flute from your Bag while standing in front of Snorlax
Battle Snorlax after it wakes up
Catch it or defeat it to clear the path
