Check the care label for “dry clean only” or specific washing instructions
If washing is allowed, spot-clean stains first using a small amount of cashmere-safe detergent and cool water
Fill a basin or sink with cool to lukewarm water (not hot)
Add a small amount of gentle, cashmere- or wool-specific detergent
Submerge the cashmere and gently press to wet it evenly
Soak for 10–20 minutes
Gently swish or lightly press the fabric; do not agitate, scrub, or wring
Drain the soapy water
Refill with cool water and rinse by gently pressing until no detergent remains
Press out excess water by laying the item on a clean towel and rolling it up; press firmly
Reshape while damp to the original size and form
Lay flat on a dry towel or drying rack away from direct sunlight and heat sources
Allow to air-dry completely
Avoid hang-drying to prevent stretching out of shape
Steam lightly or use a fabric steamer on low heat once fully dry if needed
Store only when completely dry, folded to prevent stretching
