Check the care label and follow the manufacturer’s washing instructions
Inspect for damage, exposed wires, or worn spots before washing
If machine washable, use a gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water
Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach or fabric softener
Wash the blanket alone or with similar lightweight items
Do not wring, twist, or scrub the blanket
If hand washing, soak gently and rinse thoroughly without harsh agitation
If the blanket is not machine washable, spot clean only
Air dry flat or hang to dry as directed by the manufacturer
Do not use a dryer unless the care label specifically allows it
Make sure the blanket is completely dry before reconnecting any cords
Test the blanket only after it is fully dry and undamaged
