Turn off the pressure washer and disconnect it from the power source
Shut off the water supply
Disconnect the garden hose and spray gun
Drain all water from the pump, hose, and spray gun
Remove any remaining water by squeezing the trigger until flow stops
Add pump saver or antifreeze designed for pressure washers if recommended by the manufacturer
Run the pump briefly to circulate the winterizing fluid
Drain and empty the fuel tank for gas models, or add fuel stabilizer if storing with fuel
Change the engine oil if needed
Remove the spark plug and add a small amount of oil to the cylinder for gas models
Clean the machine and remove dirt or debris
Store the pressure washer in a dry, frost-free location
Keep accessories, nozzles, and hoses indoors
Cover the unit to protect it from dust and moisture
