Start with a pencil sketch of the words

Keep the letters evenly spaced
Connect the letters smoothly if using cursive style
Make the capital letters slightly larger for emphasis
Add decorative flourishes to the first or last letters
Trace over the pencil lines with ink
Let the ink dry completely
Erase any visible pencil marks carefully
