How to Write Subscript and Superscript in Excel?

Select the cell or text you want to format

Press Ctrl+1 to open Format Cells

Go to the Font tab

Check Subscript or Superscript

Click OK

For part of a cell’s text, double-click the cell or press F2

Highlight the specific characters

Open Format Cells with Ctrl+1

Check Subscript or Superscript

Click OK

Use Unicode characters for common subscript or superscript symbols

Insert symbols from the Insert tab if needed

Use formulas or text functions if you need to combine formatted text with values
