Turn off and unplug the drill or remove the battery
Open the chuck by turning it counterclockwise or using the chuck key if required
Insert the drill bit straight into the chuck
Push the bit in until it is centered and seated securely
Tighten the chuck by turning it clockwise or tightening with the chuck key
Check that the bit is held firmly and does not wobble
Reconnect the power or reinstall the battery
