Click Pause updates
Select a pause duration
Set your network connection to metered
Open Services
Find Windows Update
Stop the Windows Update service
Set the Windows Update service startup type to Disabled
Open Group Policy Editor
Go to Windows Update settings
Enable policies to disable automatic updates
Disable automatic driver updates
Disable update-related scheduled tasks
Use the Show or hide updates troubleshooter to block specific updates
Restart your PC
