Freeze the jar for a few hours
Tap the jar to loosen the wax
Pry out the wax with a spoon or butter knife
Pour hot water into the jar
Let the wax float and harden
Remove the wax once it solidifies
Wipe out leftover residue with paper towels
Wash the jar with warm soapy water
Use rubbing alcohol for stubborn residue
Dry the jar completely
