Connect your Garmin GPS to a computer with a USB cable
Download and install Garmin Express from the official Garmin website
Open Garmin Express
Add your Garmin device in Garmin Express
Sign in or create a Garmin account if prompted

Select your device
Check for available updates
Choose the updates you want to install
Start the update process
Keep the device connected until the update is complete
Safely disconnect the device after the update finishes
Restart the Garmin GPS if prompted
If your device supports Wi-Fi updates, connect it to Wi-Fi
Open the device’s update or settings menu
Check for software and map updates
Download and install the updates
Keep the device charged during the update
Repeat updates periodically to keep maps and software current
