Download and install Audacity
Open Audacity
Click File > Open or File > Import > Audio to load a file
Click the red Record button to record audio
Click the yellow Stop button to stop recording
Use the Selection Tool to highlight audio
Press Delete to remove selected audio
Click Edit > Cut, Copy, or Paste to edit audio
Drag audio clips to move them on the timeline
Use the Zoom tools to zoom in or out
Click Effect to apply effects like Amplify, Normalize, or Noise Reduction
Use the Play button to listen to your audio
Click File > Export to save the audio as MP3, WAV, or other formats
Save the project with File > Save Project
Install plugins if needed for extra features
