Locate the small seam or notch on the key fob
Use a flathead screwdriver or coin to gently pry the fob apart
Remove the old battery
Note the battery type and orientation
Insert the new battery with the correct side facing the same way as the old one
Snap the key fob halves back together
Test the buttons to make sure the fob works
