How To Configure A Router?

Connect the router to a power source

Connect the router to the modem using an Ethernet cable

Power on the modem and wait until it is fully online

Power on the router and wait until the status lights stabilize

Connect a computer or phone to the router via Ethernet or Wi-Fi

Open a web browser

Enter the router’s IP address in the address bar

Log in with the default administrator username and password

Change the default admin password

Set the internet connection type provided by your ISP

Enter ISP settings if required

Configure the Wi-Fi network name

Select a secure Wi-Fi encryption mode

Save the settings

Update the router firmware if available

Reboot the router if prompted

Test the internet connection

Set up guest network settings if needed

Configure parental controls if needed

Enable firewall and security features

Change the default router IP address if necessary

Disable remote administration unless required

Write down the new login and Wi-Fi details
