Open the PDF in a PDF reader or browser
Select the text with your cursor
Right-click and choose Copy, or press Ctrl+C on Windows/Linux
Press Command+C on Mac
Paste the text into your desired app with Ctrl+V or Command+V
If the text cannot be selected, use OCR or a PDF text extraction tool
If the PDF is protected, check whether copying is allowed
