Open the Photos app
Select the photo or photos you want to delete
Tap the Delete icon or Trash icon
Confirm the deletion
Open the Recently Deleted or Trash folder
Select the deleted photo or photos
Tap Delete Permanently or Empty Trash
Confirm permanent deletion
