Scrub the moss off the surface with a stiff brush
Apply white vinegar directly to the moss
Use a moss-killing product labeled for the target surface
Mix water and dish soap, then spray onto the moss
Apply baking soda to the moss and leave it to dry
Use a pressure washer on hard surfaces if appropriate
Remove excess shade by trimming nearby plants or branches
Improve drainage to reduce damp conditions
Rake up and dispose of dead moss
Repeat treatment as needed until the moss is gone
