How to Make Fire Cider?

Wash and chop 1 onion, 1 head of garlic, 1 piece of ginger, 1 piece of horseradish, and 1 small cayenne pepper

Place the chopped ingredients in a clean glass jar

Add fresh herbs or spices if desired, such as turmeric, rosemary, thyme, black peppercorns, or lemon peel

Pour raw apple cider vinegar over the ingredients until fully covered

Press the ingredients down to keep them submerged

Seal the jar with a plastic lid or cover the mouth with parchment paper before using a metal lid

Store the jar in a cool, dark place for 2 to 4 weeks

Shake the jar once a day

Strain the mixture through cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer

Squeeze out the liquid

Stir in honey to taste if desired

Pour into a clean bottle or jar

Store in the refrigerator or a cool pantry

Use by the spoonful or mix with water as desired
