Gather the airbrush, compressor, hose, paint, thinner, cleaning supplies, and test surface
Attach the airbrush to the hose
Attach the hose to the compressor
Check that all fittings are tight
Add the correct thinner to the paint if needed
Mix the paint until smooth
Fill the airbrush cup or reservoir
Set the compressor pressure to the recommended range for the paint
Turn on the compressor
Test the spray on scrap material
Adjust air pressure, paint flow, and spray distance as needed
Clean the airbrush before and after use
