Select the range of cells you want to sort
Go to the Data tab
Click Sort A to Z for ascending alphabetical order
Click Sort Z to A for descending alphabetical order
If prompted, choose whether to expand the selection
Check My data has headers if your range includes column titles
Click OK to apply the sort
