Shut down your MacBook
Press the power button
Immediately press and hold the Shift key
Release the Shift key when you see the login screen
Log in to your MacBook
If prompted, log in again
To confirm Safe Mode, click Apple menu, then About This Mac, then System Report, then Software, and check Boot Mode
