Check location-related restrictions
Turn on Airplane Mode
Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Remove their access from Family Sharing if applicable
Sign out of iCloud on the device if needed
Use another Apple device with the same Apple ID if you want location sharing to continue from a different device
