Pause the video at the moment you want to mark
Note the current time shown on the player
Add the timestamp in the video comments or your notes in the format mm:ss or hh:mm:ss
If sharing the link, append the timestamp to the URL using ?t= or &t=
On mobile, tap the time display if available or use the scrub bar to read the current position
Use YouTube’s chapter markers if the video already includes them
Copy the video URL at the current time by right-clicking the player and selecting Copy video URL at current time, if available
Save the timestamp with a short label for later reference
