Read the user manual for your specific Vicks humidifier model
Place the humidifier on a flat, dry, elevated surface
Keep it at least several feet away from beds, walls, and electronics
Fill the tank with clean water
Use distilled water if recommended by the manufacturer
Add Vicks VapoPads or inhalant only if your model supports them
Secure the tank and make sure all parts are assembled correctly
Plug the humidifier into a suitable outlet
Turn the unit on and select the desired mist setting
Adjust the mist output as needed
Refill the tank when the water level gets low
Clean the humidifier regularly according to the manual
Empty and dry the tank before storing the unit
Unplug the humidifier before cleaning or moving it
