Long-press the Google Search bar on the home screen
Tap Remove or Delete if the option appears
If no remove option appears, long-press an empty area on the home screen
Tap Home settings or Settings
Turn off Google Search bar or Search widget
On some Android phones, open Widgets
Find Google
Remove the Search bar widget from the home screen
If the bar is part of the launcher, switch to a different launcher
Restart the phone if the change does not apply immediately
