Visit the bank or post office branch where your current PPF account is maintained
Submit a written request for PPF account transfer to the branch manager
Fill out the required transfer application form, if provided
Provide your PPF account number and KYC details
Submit identity and address proof if requested
The current branch will process the transfer request and forward your PPF documents to the new bank
The existing bank will send the original account documents, account opening form, nomination form, and account statement to the new bank
Open or approach a PPF account-enabled branch of the new bank
Submit the transfer documents received from the old bank to the new bank
Complete any fresh KYC or account linkage requirements asked by the new bank
Verify your PPF account details in the new bank records
Continue making PPF deposits through the new bank after the transfer is completed
