Select the cell or range you want to move
Press Ctrl+X or right-click and choose Cut
Click the destination cell
Right-click and choose Insert Cut Cells
Choose Shift cells right or Shift cells down if prompted
Click OK
To shift cells without cutting, select the cells
Drag the selection border to the new location
To insert blank cells and shift existing cells, select the target area
Right-click and choose Insert
Select Shift cells right or Shift cells down
Click OK
To shift an entire row or column, select the row or column header
Right-click and choose Insert or Delete as needed
