Collect fresh flowers of different colors
Clean the flowers gently and remove damaged petals
Arrange a wide plate, basket, or shallow tray as the base
Place leaves or a small cloth on the base if needed
Keep the largest flowers at the bottom layer
Add smaller flowers in circular layers above them
Build the Bathukamma in a cone or stack shape
Alternate flower colors for a neat pattern
Place a small cluster of flowers at the top
Press the layers lightly so they stay in place
Decorate the edges with extra flowers if desired
Keep the Bathukamma ready for worship or celebration
