Slide a thin plastic card or guitar pick under the band’s locking bead and gently lift to release tension
Use a small flat tool to press the internal tab on the clasp while pulling the band loose
Twist the band slightly to create slack before adjusting it
If it is a fabric band with a sliding lock, hold the lock and pull the free end back through a little at a time
If it is a paper or vinyl band, carefully cut it off and replace it with a new one if allowed
Ask the festival staff for help if the band uses a tamper-proof clasp
Avoid forcing it too hard to prevent breaking the band or injuring your wrist
