Remove the batteries from the remote
Press and hold any button for 5 to 10 seconds
Reinsert the batteries
Check for a reset button inside the battery compartment, if available
Press the reset button with a pin or paperclip, if present
Replace the batteries with new ones if the remote still does not work
Set the correct mode and time again after resetting
